Welcome to Our Hampshire (ourhampshire.org), an alumni-led community forum. By creating an account or otherwise using this forum, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
What this is
This forum is an independent, alumni-led project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking on behalf of Hampshire College Inc. Hampshire College’s name and marks are referenced here in the context of an alumni community discussing the College’s pedagogy and possible successor work.
The purpose of the forum is to convene alumni, faculty, and friends of Hampshire to share stories, organize, and design what comes next. It is operated on a volunteer basis and provided free of charge.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for everything posted from your account. Keep your credentials secure.
- One account per person. Do not impersonate other people.
- We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms or our community guidelines.
Acceptable use
By posting or contributing here, you agree that you will not:
- Post content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, hateful, or threatening.
- Post other people’s private information without their consent.
- Post sexually explicit material, gore, or content harmful to minors.
- Spam, advertise, or attempt to scrape or mass-export forum content.
- Impersonate other people or organizations.
- Attempt to disrupt the forum’s operation, exploit security flaws, or interfere with other users’ use of the service.

Your content
- You retain ownership of what you post. You grant us a non-exclusive license to display your content on the forum and to back it up, mirror it, and include it in administrative exports as part of normal forum operation.
- You are responsible for the legality of what you post. Don’t post copyrighted material without permission.
- We may remove content that violates these terms, our guidelines, or applicable law.
Hampshire College trademarks
The names “Hampshire College,” “Hampshire,” and related marks are property of Hampshire College Inc. We use these names only as nominative references — to identify the College and its work — and not in a way that suggests sponsorship or endorsement. If a trademark holder believes our use is improper, please contact us at jacob@reider.us and we will respond promptly.

The forum is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it running and secure, but we cannot guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators of this forum are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the forum.
Termination
You may stop using the forum at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we will post an announcement in the 
Announcements category and update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
